It's tempting to just bump the fuse to a bigger number. Don't. That's how a fuel pump problem becomes a melted harness problem. Plus, relays wear out. If the relay contacts are dark or burnt, replace it with the same rating. Cheap insurance.

Step 6: Use proper connectors, not twists and tape

Wire colors change

Don't reuse the old strainer
